Job Description:

- Assume full management responsibility for all departmental services and activities.
- Plan, organize, and direct internal support functions within Nursing Services.
- Ensure smooth operation of everyday activities by setting operational efficiency parameters.
- Manage development and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for each service area.
- Provide a well-defined strategic plan with appropriate objectives for departmental development and direction.
- Recommend and implement operational plans supporting MNGHA philosophy and objectives.
- Develop necessary programs to achieve departmental goals and operational plans.
- Support projects led by higher management to meet key strategic goals and provide technical expertise on overall strategy.
- Inform Executive Management of operational problems within responsibilities and recommend policy changes to fulfill hospital objectives.
- Oversee implementation and evaluation of core standards of care for compliance with hospital policies and relevant accrediting bodies.
- Establish performance standards to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and outcomes of Nursing Services.
- Ensure nursing care aligns with patient/family needs and current best practices and research findings.
- Facilitate an environment for research and scientific inquiry within a professional practice model.
- Ensure Nursing Services activities integrate with organizational quality management, health and safety, and legal requirements.
- Identify changes necessary to improve organizational effectiveness and remove barriers to change.
- Provide direction for planned processes to monitor, evaluate, and improve nursing service quality.
- Direct and support the development of an organization-wide systems program for Nursing Services.
- Facilitate a shared accountability approach to patient safety across the department.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the department's work plan through subordinate staff.
- Assign projects, review and evaluate work methods, and meet with key staff to resolve issues.
- Establish appropriate service and staffing levels, monitoring and evaluating service delivery methods.
- Allocate resources based on service needs and effectiveness assessments.
- Monitor workload and administrative systems, resolving operational problems as they arise.
- Implement established procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and drive necessary changes.
- Coach, guide, and counsel employees to achieve job results and facilitate training.
- Participate in department budget development and administration.
- Forecast funds needed for staffing, equipment, and supplies, and approve expenditures.
- Implement budgetary adjustments as required.
- Explain, justify, and defend departmental programs, policies, and activities.
- Negotiate and resolve sensitive and controversial issues as they arise.
- Represent the department in coordination with other departments and external stakeholders as needed.
- Participate in various committees as required.
- Prepare and present necessary reports and correspondence.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Nursing - Essential Master Degree in Nursing or related discipline from an accredited institution - Essential Registered Nurse with a current Nursing license Essential

Experience:

Minimum of 12 (twelve) years current clinical nursing experience following licensure/registration in the country of origin, 8 (eight) years of which in managerial capacity including 2 (two) years in a comparable positions Essential

Certifications & Other Requirements:

Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties-Essential
