Job Description:

- Complies with Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, and departmental policies.
- Strives to provide the highest standard of medical care for patients.
- Carries out inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the Chairman.
- Reviews, examines, diagnoses, treats, and refers patients through interviews and examinations.
- Collects, records, and maintains patient information and documentation.
- Performs on-call duties within a reasonable timeframe as mandated by the department.
- Promotes infection control awareness and adheres to standard protocols.
- Mentors and teaches staff, trainees, and students for educational purposes.
- Participates in quality improvement programs and supports initiatives for better patient care.
- Engages in research projects and activities to advance medical knowledge and practices.
- Deputizes for superiors and shares workload coverage in their specialty during absences.
- Undertakes continuous medical education as required by Saudi Commission and KAMC.
- Maintains awareness of new medical techniques, medications, and technologies.
- Contributes to department development and assists in updating medical protocols.
- Participates in KAMC's Major Disaster Plan as necessary.
- Adheres to clinical privileges as determined by KAMC.
- Builds and maintains professional relationships with patients and healthcare team members.
- Serves on KAMC committees as requested.
- Writes delegation of responsibilities and assignments prior to leave or vacation.

Education:

USA: The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (RCPS-C). UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register. Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP). Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above.

Experience:

Minimum Three (3) years after board/equivalent certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES). Minimum Five (5) years after board/equivalent certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).
