Job Description:
• Facilitate CCSD Service by maintaining 100% operational presence with the CSSD Technicians in the assigned location. Provide operational leadership to the CSSD Technicians in the assigned area of operation. Take direct and appropriate action in urgent and emergency situations.
• Ensure provision of quality-sterilized products to all end-users.
• Coordinate staff activities and act as resource to ensure adequate resources for CSSD operations. Monitor the unit and adhere to all regulations and reports deficiencies to Immediate Superior.
• Address issues using the problem solving process and utilize the chain of command appropriately. Ensure that
all activities are carried out conform to MNGHA Policy & Procedures and recognized standards.
• Maintain all records pertaining to the operation of the area of assignment.
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with the multidisciplinary team
and/or staff members of other departments. Liaise with other departments to ensure continuity of patient care
and give expert advice when required.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of CSSD related hazardous materials and disaster/emergency response.
• Complete assigned responsibilities within established hospital, divisional and unit specific guidelines, policies and procedures standards and protocols and lead the process to develop and maintain such standards.
• Participate in teaching and monitoring of CSSD Technicians and others upon request.
• Identify areas where staff clinical knowledge and skills need development.
• Assist with the execution of Quality Management Programs in the unit.
• Perform other job related duties as required.
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Sterilization, Hospital Sterilization Management, CSSD or equivalent from an accredited institution or Diploma Degree in Sterilization, Hospital Sterilization Management, CSSD or equivalent from an accredited institution – Essential; OR
Recognized CSSD-related certificate by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties– Essential
Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties – Essentia
Experience:
Minimum of 8 (eight) years’ experience in related field in a comparable health care facility/ organization, 3 (three) years of which in supervisory capacity – Essential
Certifications & Other Requirements:
International Professional Certification from International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing.
