Job Description:

Clinical Responsibilities
• Provides high-quality patient care in all aspects of Pediatric Critical Care in accordance with approved clinical privileges.
• Provides inpatient and emergency room consultations upon request and responds within the prescribed timeframe as per Hospital policy.
• Ensures timely completion, accuracy, competency, and legibility of medical records.
• Provides on-call services and ensures availability and response time in accordance with Hospital policy.
• Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for transfer or discharge. Ensures transfer/discharge orders are completed at least 24 hours prior to discharge or transfer.
• Performs other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned.
Academic Responsibilities
• Provides orientation, bedside training, and supervision to junior staff as assigned.
• Participates in departmental educational activities and training programs.
• Attends and contributes to national and international medical conferences.
• Maintains and enhances professional knowledge through continuous medical education and professional development activities.

Research Responsibilities
• Participates in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in accordance with the Research Advisory Council Policy.
• Contributes to the advancement of medical knowledge, improvement of postgraduate education, and enhancement of the Hospital's national and international recognition.

Administrative Responsibilities
• Undertakes administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Undertakes administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participates in mandatory departmental activities and serves on departmental and Hospital committees, as required.
• Assists in the development and implementation of techniques and practices to maximize resource utilization within the department and across the Hospital.
• Adheres to Hospital and medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, while remaining updated on any amendments.
• Participates in self-development and supports the education, training, and development of others, as applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

Western Board Certification / Equivalent (American, Canadian, UK CCT/CCST, etc.)

Experience:

Minimum 7 Year's Speciality Training & Experience.
